Job Purpose & Responsibilities Job Purpose:

Manages complex accounts and prospects for new business to increase Polymer segment sales within an assigned territory. Manages all aspects of the selling process pricing, sales policies, customer payment terms and conditions, supply and quality issue management, forecasting, and customer safety stock management. Large strategic account management is a key element to development senior level skillsets within the SABIC commercial organization. This position is responsible for the full sales cycle of Polymer products

Key understanding of the Engineering Thermoplastic Resins and Elastomer Market to best position SABIC ETPs, Polyolefin Elastomers and Plastomers. Understand key trends, new product innovations, domestic and global market conditions within the resins market. Assist region account managers in developing new business at customers for POE and POP products; executing on both sales and pipeline build.

Sales of Engineering Thermoplastic Resins (PC,ABS, PBT, PC/ABS, PPO) and Polyolefins (HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE, PP).


Manages, develops and grows converter accounts in assigned geography.

Drives sales of product portfolio to emphasize profitable growth of SABIC resins.

Assists select OEMs and suppliers in territory to identify new and existing applications which could utilize SABIC resins.

Maintains strong customer relationships with key molder and OEM base.

Work across functional areas to develop efficient processes from target customer through product delivery

Meet or exceed monthly allocation plan

Product positioning at direct and indirect accounts

Support Sales Leader to establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan in line with Business Groups objectives.

Responsible for achieving sales budget.

Sales and marketing strategies

Contract negotiation with customer base.

Work with Credit to establish customer credit limits. Make recommendations to management for credit limit amounts

Requirements Requirements:

Bachelors degree in technical field

Minimum of 5 years sales or marketing experience

Technical marketing and sales background in the Engineering Thermoplastic Resins and polyolefin marketspace, polyolefin elastomers (POE) and polyolefin plastomers (POP) preferred

Experience managing and growing market territory

Self-starter and ability to work with limited supervision with the drive and passion to succeed

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Working within a matrix organization and matrix management skills

Sound technical background, with commercial sense to deliver results

Strong Business Acumen

Extensive travel (US and Mexico)

Bilingual; English and Spanish preferred

Very strong client relationship skills, interpersonal skills and influencing skills

Complex problem solving skills
