Job Purpose & Responsibilities JOB PURPOSE

Help achieving optimum business results in the short, medium and long term through:

Develop and share insights in global and regional industry & market trends for a part of the value chain from olefins product , production routes of elastomers and relevanted value chain's like tires.

Contribute to the medium term (5Y) market outlook and price forecast for specific product/region combinations in preparation of the 5Y business plan and budget

Track competitors, assess the effect of their tactical & strategic moves and suggest direction of action for SABIC

Prepare LT supply/ demand & price forecasts to support growth project evaluation

Provide timely, accurate, actionable market intelligence solutions and business forecasts to SBU & BU management

KEY ACOUNTABILITIES

Track competitors in the area of feedstock, monomers and polymers, downstream part of the value chain, assesses the effect of competitors' tactical & strategic moves and suggest direction of action for SABIC

Conceptualize, build and maintain long term cost models/curves and develops long term price models for one or more products; maintains industry cost models including the position of SABIC and our major competitors for all relevant monomer feedstock and polymers in all regions;

Contributes to the monthly global Business forecasting and pricing process for all relevant chemicals and polymers for all regions, providing a strong unbiased input and challenge to SABIC's pricing policies

Contributes to the medium term (5Y) market outlook and price forecast for monomer feedstocks and polymers in all regions in preparation of the 5Y business plan and budget

Brings, for all SBU-relevant industries and market segments, key industry insights and analysis of specific industry opportunities in support of and in close collaboration with the marketing and business development roles in Business and global segments ; researches unknown market territories and evaluates attractiveness of new potential markets, customer segments & applications

Identify the external information sources (databases, subscriptions, market info consultancies ), assess the quality of the information provided and extract relevant information for the SBU to support analysis, create market insights, support business and segment teams

Develop and maintain deep insight into developments in global elastomers markets and provide industry & market intelligence support for SABIC Elastomers including POE, EPDM and BR.

Requirements Bachelors degree in business administrations, finance, engineering or economics; MBA or higher qualification appreciated

7-10 years experience in the petrochemicals or in an related industrial environment; financial and business analytical skills required; Good knowledge of the petrochemical industry

Proven knowledge about elastomers market (a.o. POE, EPDM and BR): drivers, key players and value chains.

Deep understanding of global elastomers markets

Abaility to analyse and forecast often from incomplete data

Good fit into SABIC's culture and global outlook
