Global Application Technology (GApT) drives growth for SABIC Specialties resins through application development. We are currently seeking a facilities lead at our application development center in Pittsfield, MA.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Supervises PPDC facility/maintenance teams.
Accountable for strategic, tactical, and operational facility management within budget.
Works with EHSS site specialist to ensure compliance with local regulations on projects related to facility.
Coordinates the facility contracting process in close operation with procurement.
Supervises and coordinates outside contractors working in the facility, including purchase orders/invoices.
Audits facility services delivered both internally as well as by contractors and uses performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels.
Plans best allocation and utilization of space and resources in conjunction with PPDC staff.
Initiates and carries out site-wide projects.
Maintains site relationship with property owner, GE.
Recommends cost savings initiatives as well as energy saving improvements in the facility.
Coordinates machine installations and de-installations within facility. This includes proper disposal of de-commissioned equipment.
Management of communications infrastructure at PPDC.
Assist with relocation and installation of plastics processing equipment within internal sites.
Bachelor Degree in engineering or science.
Demonstrated experience in facilities management- 5 years.
Aptitude and desire to work in a hands-on R&D environment.
Demonstrated success working in a team atmosphere
Prior supervisory/leadership experience
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office products Excel, Word and PowerPoint
