Job Purpose & Responsibilities The Security Leader/EHSS Assurance Leader is responsible for physical, procedural and information security for the Site to include Maritime Transportation Security Act compliance under U.S Coast Guard authority as well as assuring the effectiveness of the overall EHSS systems.

30% Security Leader, 70% EHSS Assurance Leader

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

Security Leader

Designated as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) per the Maritime Transportation Security Act.

FSO/USCG/DHS Contact (2-3 visits per year)

Oversee 50+ person contract security force assigned as mobile guards, dispatchers, weigh masters, and gate attendants.

Handling Daily/Weekly Security Issues

Maintain the Facility Security Plan to reflect current Site resources and procedures.

Administer the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) program for selected Employees and Contractors that require unescorted access to secure areas of the Site.

Participate on the Area Maritime Security Council (AMSC) hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Ohio Valley. (Quarterly)

SHEM 14 Element/Sub EA (14.00, 14.01, 14.04, 14.05) (G4S 14.02 & 14.03)

Security Awareness New Hire Training

Coordinate Major Site Drill with G4S & Emergency Response Leader

Ensure G4S Quarterly Table Top Drill is performed (participate as needed)

Access Platform Project (Badging & Video)

EHSS Assurance Leader

Coordinate Central EHSS Meeting (all data/slide collection)

Quarterly KPIs Report to KSA & Regional (Administrative)

SHEM 00.06 (Audits) Sub Element Owner

Coordinate all EHSS related Audits including

Power Audit tracking


Any other internal/3rd party Audits (ie. Lego)

Tracking various audits/inspections (Housekeeping, Permit Audits, possibly - RCRA Inspections, VE Inspections, DMR)

ATS Weekly past due/coming due tracking

EHSS Analysis periodic analysis and provide recommendations

Requirements Required Qualifications:

10 years experience in Security, EHSS or related field

Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, Health and Safety, related discipline or equivalent additional work experience

Demonstrated leadership ability

Excellent communication and training skills

Able to read, interpret, and implement complex regulations

Project management and team facilitation skills and capabilities

Strong communication and influencing skills; demonstrated excellent personal organization skills

Desired Qualifications:

Manager experience

Familiar with Law enforcement protocols/interaction

Familiar with database systems, data mining, analyzing EHSS data

Eligibility Requirements:

You must be 18 years or older

You must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process

You must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process

You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
