Job Purpose & Responsibilities
Responsible for new application development for China for high performance plastics for assigned market segments to build growth pipelines
Research into potential key end-users on new design possibilities and turn it into new business opportunities and realize it
Lead assigned marketing program by working with cross region ADS and commercial team to drive translation and maximize the growth
Champion new projects and drive it to successful closure, including coordinating between Technical Development, Application Support, Business management groups and T&I across boundaries
Initiate new product development based on industry new trend with significant growth potential
Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science and Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent majors
Min 5 years working experience in plastic product design, thermoplastics processing and materials knowledge etc, (knowledge in high performance and high heat plastics is preferred.)
High heat polymers (e.g. PEI, PPA, PPSU, PES, PEEK, PPS) experience required.
Broad based understanding of polymers, conversion process and secondary operations
Understanding the application of mechanical engineering concepts to Part Design DFMA & System Cost Analysis
Proven project leadership skills able to manage multiple projects and lead virtual team for program management
Able to communicate in both English and Mandarin
Self-starter and a strong team player
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
