Job Purpose & Responsibilities Job Description:

The SAP Manufacturing Technical Specialist is responsible for coordinating operations work preparation and error handling activities as well as leading overall plant inventory accuracy.

Essential Functions:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinating operations work preparation and error handling activities as well as leading overall plant inventory accuracy.

  • SAP Production Planning error handling, root cause determination and mitigation for work preparation, TECO and usage decision

  • Track error generation by process order by reason code. Provide weekly feedback to leadership team on focused improvement areas to reduce error generation

  • Support operations training development to reduce error generation

  • Mass Balance and track mass balance percent. Lead process improvements to reduce mass balance variation.

  • Lead Raw Material Move backs process (draw-off return)

  • Develop process to track byproduct volumes and quality: Lead and coordinate byproduct usage in the unit

  • Lead resolution of LE issues including labels that will not scan & resolving real time inventory issues

  • Leading warehouse inventory and monthly and annual cycle counts Chem-Ops and Compounding)

  • Any other duties as needed

Additional Duties:

  • Serve as back-up for Raw Material clerk as needed

  • Assist M&L resources with month end closing duties as need

Requirements

Qualifications :

High school graduation, GED or equivalent demonstration of skills

Strong professional communication skills (written and verbal) are necessary in order to interact with internal and external team members.

Good problem solving skills, interpersonal skills, excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong sense of accountability, urgency and self-direction

Demonstrated Microsoft Office tool proficiency

Demonstrated results working in a team environment

Outstanding public speaking skills

Travel:

Travel on a limited basis (<5%) based on business needs.

Desired Skill Desired Skills:

Ability to resolve complex SAP discrepancies and unraveling transactional history to investigate root causes to generate meaningful corrective actions.

Determining and executing SAP inventory adjustment transactions, including receipt of necessary finance or management approval.

Assignment of reason codes to errors and ownership of corrective actions to resolve error root causes for operations or materials and logistics SAP transaction errors.

Follow-up and coaching with employees to educate them on error mechanisms and identify methods to effectively teach employees how to alter behaviors to result in fewer SAP transactional errors.

Delivery of SAP audits and determination of satisfactory responses, including knowledge revealed by end user. Determine actions to correct audit gaps and provide coaching and follow through for action item closure.
